Mrs. King's First Grade

Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Becky King and I will be your child's first grade teacher. This is my 12th year teaching first grade and I couldn't be happier! I became a part of the Herscher District when I student taught in kindergarten at Herscher Grade School in 2010. Following student teaching I was a substitute teacher for Bradley and Herscher school districts for two years. While subbing I covered three maternity leaves; third grade, seventh grade, and first grade. I quickly realized that first grade was exactly where I belonged! I was very fortunate enough to be hired as a full time first grade teacher! I've had eleven wonderful years of teaching and I can't wait to build on that this year!
