Course Digital Resources - What we will be using, how, and why:

To support our curriculum the following digital resources will be utilized:

  1. Google Classroom - this will be used by students to manage coursework and receive announcement notifications of what is to be worked on each day.
  2. Nearpod for lesson delivery - this will be used for remote learners to learn the material and shorter versions will be available for in-person students to preview what is coming so they are ready for class.
  3. Desmos for interactive activities - this is a resource designed by math teachers for teachers to create/use interactive activities.  We will use Desmos in the classroom to support current learning objectives and may assign a Desmos activity from time to time for students to dive deeper for conceptual understanding at home.
  4. Delta Math for practice - this is another resource designed by math teachers for teachers to assign practice problems to support the curriculum.  We will use this site to create targeted practice that promotes accuracy aligned to each day's instructional topics.  This will be one of the main avenues of assigning and collecting homework.
  5. GoFormative for assessment - this website will be used for collection of work done on worksheets provided in class or digitally and also for all assessments in the course.
