Music Theory is a class where we discover how music works. It's a lot like learning how to put together a car by looking under the hood. We find out about scales, chords, rhythms, transposition, and even write a few tunes. If you want to know how music is put together, this is the class for you.
Advanced Music Theory is where we delve even further into the mysteries of harmony. We study figured bass, harmonic and melodic analysis, chord progressions, and continue to write tunes. We work on training our ears as well as our minds to analyze music. If you think you want to study music at the college or university level, take this course! You won't be sorry.
