Welcome to this year's Herscher High School Orchestra! I am excited to begin our musical journey together. Please see the HHS Orchestra Calendar page for our schedule. We have some great things planned, including a trip to the University of Illinois Orchestra Clinic. Our first performance will be coming soon to a Labor Day Celebration near you.
Most of the information here is also found in the Music Department Handbook. You will receive a hard copy during the first weeks of school, along with a hard copy of the calendar. Please remember to sign and date the permission form from the first page and turn it in to me.
Uniforms for this year are Concert Black, the uniform worn by orchestras all over the world.
Ladies – All black long sleeve or ¾ length sleeve shirt, all black dress pant or long skirt, black shoes with all black socks or nylons. NO COLORS. No flip-flops.
Gentlemen– All black or all white long sleeve button up shirt, solid black tie, all black dress pants, all black shoes and black socks. An all black suit coat may be worn with your button-up shirt if you wish. Only totally black athletic shoes are allowed. NO COLORS

REMIND-- Remind is an internet service that lets me update you by text or email about arrival times, upcoming concerts, etc. It is easy to use, and has been used at Limestone Middle School. Parents and students are encouraged to join. If you joined up last year, there is no need to re-join. Contact Ms. Cessna for information on how to get on Remind.
