Preschool screenings are for children ages 3- and 4-years old. If your child is turning 3-years old on or before Sept. 1st, they are eligible for screening. If your child is turning 5-years old on or before Sept. 1st, they qualify to start Kindergarten and are not eligible for preschool screening. Please check back to the district’s website for The Kindergarten Café & Pre-registration, coming soon this spring.
During the preschool screening, speech/language, motor skills and preschool concepts are evaluated. The information is then shared with the parent. This is a good opportunity for parents to learn how their child is developing.
