Welcome to our Board of Education / Meeting Agendas Page!


Our monthly Board of Education meetings are held in the District Office Conference Room, located at 501 N Main Street, Herscher IL ~ unless otherwise noted. Our meetings are generally scheduled for the second Monday of the month ~ unless otherwise noted.                                               


Per mask mandate from Gov. Pritzker, masks will be required for those wishing to attend a Board of Education meeting.

In the event that audience size or physical distancing requirements dictate, meetings will be moved to the Herscher High School media center which can be accessed through the front (north) parking lot (facing North/Route 115).

Public Comment during Board of Education Meetings  
Each month, during the regular Board of Education meetings, there is time set aside for individuals to address the Board of Education on a district related matter. Individuals wishing to speak must sign in prior to this portion of the meeting and state the subject of their comments.

This is done via the Audience to Visitors form (attached below). Discussions should be directed to the Board as a whole rather than to individual  board members or administrative employees. No discussion of individual personnel or students is permitted during public comment. Personnel or student concerns should first be directed to an Administrator and if necessary, a private session will be arranged with the Board to discuss such concerns.

The Board of Education is not a public forum. The Board is a deliberative body and does not debate the subject of public comments during the meeting but rather may take the comments under review in making decisions and establishing policies. The Board follows a planned agenda at each meeting.
